简介邵雪（陈钰琪饰）、郑素年（林一饰）、张祁（晏紫东饰）等几名文物修复匠人的孩子，众人从小一同在北京的胡同里长大，经历“非典”疫情、长辈离世、古城拆迁等种种风云，结下了深厚情谊。而随着逐渐长大，众人也因个性的差异选择了截然不同的道路。邵雪受到郑素年母亲的影响，不愿为了爱情放弃未来无限的可能，选择远走他乡；郑素年继承长辈遗志，成为文物修复师，在不朽的文物中感知时间、获取力量；张祁则因为数学天赋提前保送。即使心意相通，但年轻的邵雪和郑素年依然因为各自的追求而分道扬镳。一别经年，他们再次相遇，青春年少时埋下的种子再次破土而出。。改革开放的大潮下，古老的皇城北京也按捺不住那份躁动。人们来去匆匆，生活节奏陡然加快，躁动的摇滚乐和肆无忌惮的谩骂响彻夜空，看不到未来却又为未来拼搏的年轻人们恣意宣泄着心中的愤懑。摇滚乐手卡子（李委饰）的女友毛毛（俞飞鸿饰）怀了孩子，两人为要与不要的问题大吵一架。之后毛毛失踪，装作不在意的卡子又四处寻找女友；崔健（崔健饰）与乐队在摇滚乐之路上艰难前行，身无分文的他们交不起场地租金，被迫打起游击，乐队的排练经常受到干扰；买书为生的黄耶鲁被骗子袁红海（武啦啦饰）骗尽钱财，他和哥们好友四处寻找骗子，结果兄弟间反倒出了矛盾。滚滚洪流，这群不甘受缚的青年趁着韶华未尽，可劲儿燃烧、挥霍着他们这无望、困顿的青春…… 本片荣获1993年洛迦诺电影节评委会奖特别提及。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
